What will my first visit be like?
We’re proud to say that our new patient exam is much more comprehensive than most other dental offices. We schedule 2 hours for every new patient, and during this time, we’ll take a variety of scans and images of your mouth in addition to exploring your medical and family history. In addition to an oral exam and dental cleaning, you can also choose to participate in our Oral DNA or Smile with Heart program, both of which are dedicated to serving your overall health as well as your smile.
What is the Smile with Heart Program?
Smile with Heart is dedicated to taking dentistry to the next level. The health of the mouth is directly connected to the health of the body, and with this information, our dentists can help you with more than just cavities. By identifying the presence of certain bacteria in your mouth, we can determine if you’re at risk or already have other serious health conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and more. With this information, we can work with your other health care providers to prevent these diseases from ever impacting your health.
What is Wellness Dentistry?
Wellness Dentistry maximizes dentistry’s potential for improving your health and appearance. Did you know that taking care of your teeth could help you look younger, or that symptoms in your mouth could signal a hormonal imbalance? Wellness Dentistry looks to improve your body globally by maximizing and improving your dental health.
What does Dr. Abbott do for the dental office?
Dr. Abbott is our dental oncology specialist, in that he helps Stonebriar Smile Design with patients who are currently undergoing cancer treatment. This kind of patient has special needs and issues to look out for and to make sure they get exactly what they need, we bring in an expert. With Dr. Abbott, we’ll make sure our patients treating or in remission from cancer never have to worry about their smile.
What does it mean to be a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry?
In 2010, our own Dr. Jill Wade attained a Master of Academy of General Dentistry designation. To achieve this honor, she literally had to take hundreds of hours of continuing education courses and demonstrate expertise in a variety of dental fields. This is a distinction only a tiny fraction of dentists achieve, and it’s an indication of Dr. Wade’s commitment to improving herself and continually staying on the cutting-edge of modern dentistry.
What is your insurance policy?
Although we are not an in-network provider we are happy to accept dental insurance plans from most PPO providers, and our team will always work to get the most out of your benefits. However, we base all of our treatment plans on the needs of the patient rather than their insurance coverage. To learn about how we can work with your particular plan, please contact us today. Toyota clients, we are happy to inform you that your policy will pay us directly.
Do you have financing options?
Yes! We can help you get financing through our trusted partners at CareCredit. With them, the cost of your care will be broken up into much smaller monthly payments. Depending on your credit, many of their plans have.
